Welcoming You to Premier Chiropractic Centre
As a new patient coming into our office you will be greeted by our wonderful staff. We will all take care of you and guide you through to our Consultation room and proceed through the Intake Form. This is where you read through our consent and we take a through medical history and details of any current complaint or health challenges. Once this form is complete we will ask you to get into a gown so that Dr. McElroy (D.C.) has access to your spine for the both the scans & chiropractic examination.
Computerised Scans
Our Chiropractic Assistants will then perform some computerised scans which measure the muscle activity along the spine, the first is while you are standing still, the second while you are asked to perform some gentle movement and the third is a baselin reading which measures various Neuro functions of your body while they respond and recover from tasks.
Your Consultation & Exam
Dr. McElroy (D.C.) will come in and introduce himself. He will then proceed to ask how the quality of your life is affected by any health challenges you are facing. (Since aches and pains will come and go it is essential that we understand what aspects of your life is being affected.) We believe this to be very important so we understand what your expectations are.
The doctor then performs a thorough chiropractic examination, testing muscular and neurological function through a variety of methods.
Bi-Lateral Scales
Then Dr. McElroy leaves you to complete his notes, allowing you to get dressed. Once changed you then will be asked to go back out to our front desk where you will step onto bi-lateral scales so we can record your first reading. This is done again at each visit before and then after the adjustment to see how the adjustment affects your nervous system pattern. Once we have your scales reading we check that your second appointment has been made and then take payment.
If you use glasses please bring them along for the consultation as there are some health history details to be filled out.
